The Tulshidham Ashram is located on a hill in Nandankanan, Andarkilla, Chattogram.
The former name of the present Tulshidham was Tulsi Das Akhra. When the Rambhakta soldiers
came to Chattogram during the Mughal period around 1700 AD, they felt the need for their prayers
and pilgrimage services and an arena for the pilgrim Vaishnavism. They also installed statues of
Sri Sri Narasimha Gopalji and Mahabir Hanumanji in Andarkilla Mouza, which was established as Tulsi
das Akhera. There are rumors that, Tulsi Das was a devotee of Ram; But besides setting up a statue
of Hanumanji here, Sri Sri Narasimha also dreamed of setting up a statue of Madanmohan Gopalji.
Once upon a time, the scenic view of the natural horizon including the Karnafuli river from this
arena evoked a thrill of peace in the body. Domestic and foreign tourists and pilgrims from different
regions including Himalayas, Gaya, Kashi, Mathura, Vrindavan, South India still come here. Most of the
people who worked in this organization were non-Bengalis. They were Mohant Govinda Das, Ganga Das, Ram Khelaul
Das, Ram Gopal Das, Maniram Das, Ram Das, Raghab Das, Sitaram Das, Shyamsunder Das, Joyram Das, Srimat Advaitananda
Puri, Srimat Achyutananda Puri, Srimat Narayan Puri. Srimat Debdipananda Puri is currently engaged as Mohant.
